This project was for my self negotiated brief, which we had complete creative control over. I chose to create a diffusion line for Jacquemus, to explore a hyper-feminine meets deconstructed tailoring aesthetic. The inspiration for the concept Cuban Contrasts originated from a trip I took to Cuba in 2019. I wanted to explore the two sides of the country, the first being the side that Cuba portrays to the world: bright, bold, full of life and energetic. Whilst this is true, the militant communist past is still extremely present today, creating a fascinating contrast whilst walking round the lively streets of Havana.
